FAQ

Does this work on off-road equipment without standard OBD ports?

Yes. We use engine-hour tracking, hardwired connections, and standalone GPS/cellular trackers that work independently of vehicle diagnostic ports.

Can we track both owned and rented equipment?

Yes. The system supports any asset regardless of ownership. You can tag and track rented equipment for the duration of the rental, then deactivate.

How does this handle equipment that moves between sites?

Equipment transfers are tracked automatically. Location history shows every site an asset has been to, with timestamps and dwell duration.

What about sites with poor cellular reception?

Trackers store data locally and transmit when coverage is available. We assess coverage during scoping and recommend device configurations accordingly.

Can we use this data for rental vs. own decisions?

Yes. Utilization data — hours worked, idle time, days on site — gives you the evidence to decide whether to own, rent, or return specific equipment types.

How rugged are the tracking devices?

Devices are designed for heavy-duty environments: IP-rated for dust and water, vibration-tested, and temperature-rated for extreme conditions.
