1. GO Focus Plus and Video Coaching: An All-in-One Video Telematics and Safety Platform

We’re excited to launch the GO Focus Plus, an AI-powered dash cam designed to proactively identify and correct risky driving behaviors in real time. It provides in-cab voice feedback to drivers, improving safety and reducing distractions on the road.

  1. AI-powered detection: Detects high-risk behaviors like phone usage, fatigue, and following too closely.

2. Enhanced Geotab Video Experience: Video Request History Panel and Camera Bulk Settings Improvements

We’ve introduced two key updates to improve the management of your camera devices and video requests. The new Pending Video Request panel provides easy tracking of requests, while the upcoming Camera Bulk Settings improvements simplify group camera configuration.

  2. Camera bulk settings improvements: Apply changes like On/Off across multiple cameras with ease.

3. New Faults Page: Intuitive Layout for Better Maintenance Workflow

The Faults page now features a new layout that helps you quickly assess fault severity and take the necessary actions for vehicle maintenance. This update prioritizes fault severity, allowing for more efficient troubleshooting and decision-making.

  1. Fault severity prioritization: Instantly see low, medium, or high severity faults.
  2. Actionable recommendations: Get clear next steps for each fault code.
  3. Impact insights: Understand how a fault may affect vehicle components.

Availability: Starting mid-September, with full release expected by the end of the year.

4. Geotab’s Cold Chain Solution: Real-Time Monitoring for Refrigerated Assets

Introducing the Cold Chain Solution for real-time monitoring and management of cargo temperature and refrigeration unit status. Ensure cargo integrity, maintain compliance, and optimize operations with the new Cold Chain page in MyGeotab.

Key Features:

  1. Real-time temperature and status monitoring: Track cargo temperature and door status across multiple zones.
  2. Reefer unit integration: Direct integration with Thermo King units (North America) and IOX-COLD for all reefer units.
  3. Smart alerts: Get notified when cargo temperature goes out of the safe range.

5. Stay Informed with SMS Notifications for Rules and Exceptions

You can now receive instant SMS notifications whenever an exception is triggered, even when you’re away from email or internet access. Perfect for after-hours monitoring or for users with limited connectivity.

  1. SMS alerts: Get notified instantly about triggered exceptions or rules.
  2. Opt-in system: Ensure compliance with a simple opt-in process for recipients.
  3. Ideal for after-hours monitoring: Stay informed even when away from email.

Availability: Available in closed Beta for customers in the USA and Canada.

The latest update to the mobile app now allows drivers to view assigned devices and associated beacons, along with real-time and historical data like temperature, battery level, and voltage.

We’ve enhanced the driver call experience with snapshot streaming. Now, during driver calls, fleet managers can receive a visual snapshot of the driver every 15-30 seconds. The snapshot stream can be toggled on or off during calls.

  1. Snapshot streaming: Visual reference of the driver during calls.
  2. Customizable streaming: Toggle snapshot streaming on or off during calls.
  3. Improved safety and communication: Adds trust and safety by providing a visual confirmation.
