The Geotab GO9 is the plug-and-play telematics device that doesn't add another dashboard. It connects dispatch, ELD, maintenance, fuel, and coaching to one screen and pushes exception-based alerts so dispatch only sees what needs a decision right now.
Install in minutes. Track in near real time. Expand whenever you're ready.
Self-install in minutes
One person, 50 trackers, one afternoon: GO Anywhere arrives activated. No configuration at the asset. Your GoFleet team handles MyGeotab setup remotely. Asset groups, alert rules, and reporting are ready before the first ping lands.
See your fleet in near real time
Geotab's patented curve-based logging captures GPS, engine, accelerometer and battery data with second-level fidelity, without spamming your dashboard with redundant pings. You see what matters: where vehicles are, how they're driving, what's about to break.
One device. Years of new features
Over-the-air firmware updates roll new capabilities onto the GO9 you already installed. No truck rolls, no replacements. The IOX expansion port adds Driver ID, HOS, dash cams, Garmin nav, satellite comms or temperature tracking the day you decide you need it.

How it works
Self-install in minutes. Connect the GO9, watch for three solid LEDs, then verify online to start logging data.
01 - Plug in
Locate the OBD-II port (driver-side, knee-level on most vehicles), align the GO9 with the port, and push to seat. The device emits 6 quick beeps to confirm power.
02 - Wait for three solid LEDs
Red (firmware/power), Green (cellular), Blue (GPS) blink while the device connects, then go solid. The device beeps twice every 60 seconds during setup; ten quick beeps signal completion. Most installs finish in under 10 minutes with normal network coverage.
03 - Verify and go
Go to installmygps.com, enter your name, company name and the GO9 serial number, click Log Install. Green status text confirms the device is communicating. (Add the device to your the tool database before installing — the GO9 only starts logging data once it's in the tool AND the install is complete.)

FAQ
How is Go9 different from older devices like the GO8?
32-bit processor, 4x memory, 5x RAM. LTE Cat-1 connectivity. Faster GPS fix with OTA almanac. GPS+GLONASS dual-system. Breakthrough collision detection. Broader native vehicle protocol support. End-to-end FIPS 140-2 cybersecurity.
Will it work with my existing fleet management system?
Go9 feeds directly into the tool. Through the open SDK, APIs, and Marketplace, it integrates with hundreds of third-party tools (Driver ID, HOS, dash cams, asset trackers) without ripping out what you have today. Your GoFleet team handles the integration.
Does the install require a professional?
For most light-duty vehicles with a standard OBD-II port, no. Plug-and-play: find the port, push the device in, wait for three solid LEDs. For heavy-duty trucks or vehicles with hard-to-reach ports, a certified installer is recommended.
What about older vehicles or assets without an OBD port?
Go9 supports 2-wire or 3-wire installation for older vehicles. Intelligent ignition detection works on voltage and movement. No engine information needed to track usage.
Can I add cameras and sensors later?
Yes. Go9 is the foundation. GO Focus Plus AI dash cams, moisture sensors, asset trackers, Shell card integration: all layer on top through IOX. One platform, no re-tendering. Your GoFleet rep scopes Phase 2 when you're ready.
What about support during peak season?
First response in 24-48 hours. Named success manager. Direct line to your rep. Valentine's week, Mother's Day: your support runs closest when your operation runs hottest.
How do I control fuel card misuse?
Geofence your authorized stations. Go9 ties fuel transactions, idle reports, and route logs into one weekly view. The first off-route swipe lights up your dashboard the same day.
Is the cellular data plan included?
Yes. Go9 ships in carrier-specific SKUs for the right network out of the box.
What's the warranty?
Standard 1-year hardware warranty. Extended options available through GoFleet.
